Every year, Focus Points holds several amazing events for community members and program participants. Each event includes opportunities for corporate sponsorship, as well as volunteer service.

Winter Fiesta
Our annual Winter Fiesta celebrates families enrolled in Focus Points’ PAT and HIPPY early childhood programs. This year’s Winter Fiesta, inspired by the classic story of the Grinch, was “A Grinchy Whobilation” on Friday, December 5th, 2025. At Winter Fiesta, families are celebrated with entertainment a local dance studio, arts and crafts, games, prizes, toys, and other fun activities with plenty of photo opportunities with Santa Claus…and the Grinch too!

Huerta Urbana Farmers' Market
The market’s pay-what-you-can model provides affordable access to healthy, seasonal produce and other pantry essentials by giving customers market bucks to cover their initial or partial purchases. The market, hosted on Focus Points’ parking lot, runs most Fridays. For the 2025 season, the Farmers’ Market ran from June 13th to October 31st from 2-5PM. The market operates in collaboration with vendors and community partners supporting access to fresh, healthy produce as well as local economic development. BACK2SCHOOL
Our annual Back2School event was on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 before the start of the school year. Families were provided with backpacks for their school-aged children on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, families received information about Focus Points’ services while also being introduced to other community partners at this indoor/outdoor event at our center. There was plenty of food, crafts, and community bonding for all with entertainment from local dance and music groups! See some photos from this year’s event below!

Board Reception for 30th Anniversary Celebration
To celebrate Focus Points’ 30th anniversary, we hosted a reception for past and present Board of Directors members, including founders, community members, and program managers. It was a wonderful March evening of connection and celebration. We’re grateful for the many individuals who’ve supported our mission of building better communities by strengthening families, and we look forward to continuing our work in the years ahead.
