Acerca de Huerta Urbana
Huerta Urbana is a community-driven program of Focus Points Family Resource Center focused on expanding access to fresh, culturally relevant food in the Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea (GES) neighborhoods. The program manages a one-acre farm located in the heart of GES, a USDA-designated food desert, where it has been growing produce for the community since May 2021.
Harvested produce is shared through a pay-what-you-can model at the Huerta Urbana Farmers Market, held at Focus Points from June through October alongside local community vendors. In 2026, Huerta Urbana expanded its impact through a partnership with CommonSpirit Health, FarmBox Fresh, and the National Western Center, launching a FarmBox program to increase produce production and improve access to fresh food for GES and surrounding communities. With the success of the 2025 Farmers’ Market season, we want to hear about your individual experiences. Please consider taking the following participant experience survey as we hope to receive as much feedback as we can for creating a market and space that serves the community better for this coming season in 2026.
