On August 1, Huerta Urbana Farmers Market had the honor of welcoming Telemundo Denver and reporter Patricia Labarca for a live broadcast right from our market at Centro de recursos familiares Focus Points. It was an exciting day for our team, our vendors, and the families who make the market such a special community space.
Earlier that morning, Patricia joined Huerta Urbana Farmers Market (HUFM) Manager, Karen Bustillos, for a tour of our urban farm. Together they walked the fields to see what’s growing, stopped by to greet our hardworking chickens, and even checked out the buzzing beehives that help pollinate the crops. From fresh produce to honey and eggs, Patricia got a behind-the-scenes look at how the farm supports the market and our community each week.
Later that afternoon, Patricia went live from the farmers market, highlighting the beautiful fruits and vegetables, pay-what-you-can model, and the incredible vendors and neighbors who make Huerta Urbana so special.
