Resumen de posición

The Director of Program Impact is a key member of Focus Points’ leadership team. This position oversees all core programs, which includes ECE Home Visitation, Family Support Services, Adult Education, and Social Enterprises. This position is responsible for ensuring implementation fidelity of all programs, budget creation and adherence, outcomes measurement, staff supervision and positive company culture. The ideal candidate is skilled in resource and people management with experience in grant management, business, or entrepreneurship. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee key program areas of Family Support Services, Home Visitation, Wildflowers (English for refugees), and Social Enterprise. 
  • Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish/English to effectively communicate with staff and participants. 
  • Business skills – possess a working knowledge of business management. 
  • Play an integral part in carrying out the organization’s new 3-year strategic plan in coordination with the rest of the leadership team. 
  • Lead planning and development of organization’s core program objectives and initiatives in line with the strategic plan and the organizational values. 
  • Facilitate establishment of key outcomes and fidelity indicators for each program and manage regular measurement and reporting in coordination with the Development team. 
  • Create program implementation plans to attain short- and long-term financial, operational, and mission-based goals. 
  • Develop and manage program and grant budgets with support from accounting contractor and in collaboration with program managers.
  • Establish and ensure adherence to program operational policies and procedures. 
  • Support data training and collection efforts by program teams to include data and narrative. 
  • Contribute to the writing of grant proposals and donor reports in coordination with the Development team.
  • Ensure fidelity of all programs is met. 
  • Maintain relationships with program partners and other service providers. 
  • Ensure all outcomes, deliverables, expenditures, and statements of work for individual grants are met within the funding period.
  • Manage annual performance review process for program teams. 
  • Negotiate and review contracts or MOUs related to programs.
  • Ensures all positions within departments follow job guidelines. Adjust job responsibilities where needed and in-line with organization and program goals.
  • Creates a culture of growth mindset and supports to help staff achieve full potential.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and adheres to a high level of confidentiality towards Focus Points staff and participants. 
  • Commitment to communities of color, Latinx, Immigrant, Refugee and Asylum-seeking populations. 
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. 

Competencias requeridas

  • People Management: Ability to lead, supervise, and evaluate personnel. 
  • Budget Management in excess of $3M: Read financial reports and mange program budgets. Train managers in budget management. 
  • Program Analysis: Gather data and provide recommendations for program improvement. Understanding logic models and assessing program impact. 
  • Oral and Written Communication: Communicate with different audiences in a timely fashion. 
  • Bilingual Communication: Ability to understand, speak, read and write in Spanish at an expert level to communicate with staff, participants, and community. 
  • Flexibilidad de categoría: Ability to change between work modalities and situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and competency in different environments and scenarios. 
  • Atención a los detalles: Demonstrate excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and timelines for deliverables.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Master’s degree 
Supervision of up to 5 employees, multiple contracts, and partnerships 
Liderazgo experience of 3-5 years
