CoCuA Lead Specialist

The CoCuA Lead Specialist (GM/Kitchen Supervisor) will be an experienced hospitality professional and responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day operations of CoCuA and works closely with the program manager and team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Coordinating program and curriculum activity, operational support for FOH and BOH staff including point of sale coordination, filing receipts for accounting, coordinating repairs and maintenance to the property, ordering and maintaining inventory, providing updates on revenue and expenses, customer service, social media content collection, and other operational needs as they arise. This position is responsible for supporting program, operations, budget and grant expectations, in addition to following the guidance of the CoCuA program manager and health, fire, and safety regulations. Lead Specialist will work with Focus Points participants, who typically come from immigrant, refugee, low-income, and other diverse backgrounds. The candidate selected for this position will be expected to receive additional training and professional development in areas related to working with families, compassion fatigue, team supervision, flexibility with changing circumstances, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Educator

This position will require a person who has experience working with immigrant, low-income, and diverse families. Our ECE Educator will work with children and their parents through age-specific online learning sessions that emphasize sensory experiences, social interactions, and hands-on learning to promote development in all developmental areas.

Bus Driver

The bus driver provides transportation to community members and partner organizations. This position requires flexibility in schedule. The bus driver is in charge of keeping the bus clean and in working order, scheduling maintenance, and keeping an updated trip schedule, along with maintaining communication with partner organization regarding trips.

Comal FOH Specialist (Cashier)

Focus Points Family Resource Center is looking for two (2) qualified candidates to fill our Comal FOH Specialist (Cashier) positions. The Comal FOH Specialist (Cashier) will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, friendly, and healthy dining area for guests and the Comal program participants in alignment with public health regulations and industry best practices. The FOH specialist will work with Focus Points participants, who typically come from immigrant, refugee, low-income, and other diverse backgrounds.

Comal BOH Specialist (Kitchen Porter)

Focus Points Family Resource Center is looking for two (2) qualified candidates to fill our Comal BOH Specialist (Kitchen Porter) positions. The Comal BOH Specialist (Kitchen Porter) will be an expert in kitchen sanitation and safety practices. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and healthy kitchen for the Comal program participants in alignment with public health regulations and industry best practices. The Kitchen Porter will work with Focus Points participants, who typically come from immigrant, refugee, low-income, and other diverse backgrounds.

Comal Kitchen Specialist

Focus Points Family Resource Center is seeking a Part-Time, Kitchen Specialist to work in its social enterprise, Comal Heritage Food Incubator. The candidate supports the development of participants by organizing the daily kitchen operations for the Comal Heritage Food Incubator training program. The Kitchen Specialist will be responsible for training and instructing participants in culinary practices during training shifts, according to learning objectives laid out in the Program curriculum, and supervised by the Program Manager/Executive Chef. The candidate selected will be expected to receive additional training and professional development in areas related to compassion fatigue, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as other areas identified by the Program Manager/Executive Chef.
