Wildflower English for Newcomers Classes
This program, which has been existence since the organization began in 1995, is no longer available. As of October 2025, this program has officially closed due to lack of funding to support the continuation of the program.
Please refer to our Resources page with information listing English classes across the Denver metro area that will assist you in your language learning.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our final gatherings and classes, bringing lots of joy to students, families, and our dedicated Wildflower staff. We hope to revive this programming in future years so that we can once again welcome English learners from around the world. Here’s to our amazing Wildflower students and educators and to all of the participants who have been a part of this program. We wish you all continued success!
Wildflower English for Newcomers
Supporting Refugees in language acquisition, integration, and employment
At Focus Points, we are dedicated to supporting Colorado newcomers by providing English, technology, and life skills training. Our aim with the program was to empower participants in their journey towards early employment, economic security, integration, and independence. We honored and embraced the experiences, strengths, heritage languages, and cultures of all of our participants.
Wildflower English for Newcomers Program
We offered both virtual and in-person classes for ORR-eligible adult refugees. Our classes were designed to meet a variety of learning needs, from pre-literate to advanced levels, and include enrichment options like Computer Skills and Grammar Skills.

Registration Information
To enroll in this program, people would have been associated with a Colorado Resettlement Agency and had to ask their case manager to refer them to Focus Points for English classes. Upon referral, we would then contact them for registration at one of our locations:

- Mango House Location: 10180 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010
Interpretation and remote registration assistance were available for those in need.
